Annual Vs. Perennial Flowers
Spring is the time for planting, grass, trees and flowers. Not two ways about it, there are some very beautiful annual and perennial flowers and flowering plants to choose from. Some will be better suited for shady areas of the lawn; some perform very well in full sunlight.
Often, choosing which plant or plants to select, can depend on whether you want to go through the annual planting and nurturing exercise. With perennial plants, those that live year after year, you plant one time and done. All that is required thereafter, is seasonal fertilization, adequate water and fall clean up.
Still, there are annual plants that are just too pretty to pass up, impatiens, for example. So, there are times the payoff in season-long beauty is worth the effort.
